Intel has confirmed the existence of the next-generation Xeon performance-core processor and the corresponding platform for the LGA9324-OKS-AP Oak Stream platform in the descriptions of two adapter boards designed for power supply testing on its official DESIGN-iN TOOLS store website.
Currently, the known information about the Diamond Rapids processor and the Oak Stream platform is limited to what the leaker YuuKi_AnS mentioned on October 13, 2022, that Diamond Rapids will support PCIe 6.0 and CXL 3.0. However, YuuKi_AnS stated at the time that Diamond Rapids would be equipped with 8-channel DDR5 memory, which is likely referring to the -SP version of the processor series, and there may be some differences with the -AP version that has emerged this time. Compared to the existing LGA7529 Birch Stream-AP platform, the next-generation Oak Stream-AP platform has increased the number of LGA pins by about 24%, which is expected to support higher interconnect bandwidth and power supply requirements. The existing Birch Stream-AP platform will support the -AP version of the Xeon 6 performance-core and efficiency-core processors, as well as the next-generation Xeon efficiency-core processor Clearwater Forest-AP.
